VEX Robotics

VEX Robotics, otherwise known as VRC is a competitive robotics competition where various teams play against each other in different events every year. The game has been evolving since 2007 into the worldwide game we know today. Teams work together to create a robot and program it to accomplish certain tasks. There are different levels of competition: Local, State/Province and World. VEX brings various teams from all over the world to Dallas, Texas for the Worlds competition where only the best teams attend. This year's competition is called "Change Up."

Our Robots

Our team members and coach communicated via text and email to build a robot for the Online VEX Annotated Programming Challenge. We designed and constructed a robot, whom we call Sir Tony, based on a crunch build design that uses a standard drive train, active roller intakes, and an arm. We added an inertial sensor to assist with accurate navigation. Block-based and text-based coding were used and included conditional logic and variables.
